"Blood Diamond"


This film is an action adventure plot in which Leonardo Di Caprio is the main character “Danny Archer”, Djimon Hounsou is “ Solomon” and Jennifer Connely – Maddy

During the civil war and chaos on 1990’s Sierra Leone, Danny (Leonardo , who is a south African mercenary and Solomon Vandy, a fisherman, become joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives. While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon – who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fieds – has found and hidden the extraordinary stone. With the help of Maddy ( Jennifer Connely), an American journalist whose idealism is tempered by a deep connection with Archer, the two men embark on a trek through rebel territory, a journey that could save Solomon’s family and give to Archer the second chance to be a better person.

With a soundtrack by James Newton Howard ,this story raises awareness on the
illegal trade issue and show has been actually happening in some African countries.ing.
So for those who like a lot of emotions and ca stand violent scenes of war this is a good choice.
