INTERESTING INFORMATION ABOUT “SHREK” - the movie

- Shrek was the first film of animation since “O Mundo Selvagem” of 1974, to run for “The Golden Palm “in the Cannes Film Festival .
- The character Shrek was created by the writer William Steig in 1990, just five years after the DreamWorks SKG and the Pacific Data Images started to work in their adaptation for the cinema.
- The actor Chris Farley was originally the choice to give the voice for the character Shrek. Farley started to record some dialoguesfor the character, but with his death , he was replaced by Mike Myers in this role .
- After Mike Myers had completed his function in Shrek, he decided that it would be better if the character had a Scottish accent. After listening to a tape with the new voice, the DreamWorks decided to replay the script of the main character, it cost more than US$ 4 Million.
- There are two more films Shrek 2 (2004) and Shrek Third (2007).


OPINION ABOUT THE FILM

In my opinion, Shrek is a comic and amusing film recommended for all the family. I think the film can also show a type of “story’s moral” that the people have to see you in the way you are and not by what you have or other characteristics…They have to accept you by what you show to them and it has to be your real way of life. Coming back to the film, Shrek has an excellent soundtrack and script. I can’t wait too much for the third film…It will be a very good one , too.
