Borat - The movie

"My name is Borat. I like you. I like sex. It's nice" - Borat

Sacha Baron Cohen is a comic genius. As Borat Sagdiyev, a TV journalist from Kazakhstan who is the least politically correct character imaginable, Baron Cohen spits out the most outrageous racist and sexist statements he can think of. Yet it’s the reaction of most of his unknowing victims that proves to be the most interesting aspect of Borat.Borat plays jokes on everybody. He messes with feminists and mocks there ways. He participates in a high class dinner and invites a hooker to meet him there. He travels across the county with his producer, Azamat Bagatov, and his pet black bear playing jokes on everyone he sees. He even runs naked through a high class hotel into a bokers' meeting chasing after naked Azmat. As he goes across the country, his main goal is to marry Pamela Anderson.

Jackass 2 - The movie

Last year, the movie Jackass was given a Sequal. Jackass: Number 2 was made. Some people that disliked the first Jackass were upset because they didn't like how the actors were. Personally I found the first hilarious. Number 2 could only be better as far as I could tell.

When the end credits had showed up at the end, I was all but disappointed. Some of these new stunts are just plain crazy. I have no other way to put it than that.

From Jonny and the boys teeter tawtering in a bull pit to playing a prank on another jackass member, I hardly had the time to get a breath before I would laugh it right back out. Personally I found this movie one of the funniest films that I have ever watched.

The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

While Johnny Depp is playing the part of Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”, his character isn’t always believable and adds more recklessness to the pirates. Throughout the movie Johnny Depp is trying to recover his ship that was stolen from him by some other pirates and he ends up spending his time confused with all the British Naval Bullies and other people around him.

Most movies are based on a background from either a book, an event in history, or other old movies. But in this case this movie was created from a ride at the Disneyland theme park. This movie was used as a promotion for the ride at the park.

The movie isn’t like most sci-fi movies. It is a fairly entertaining movie, with a good choice for the cast, awesome effects and spectacular cinematography of galleons chasing each other around on the Caribbean.

This movie was an awesome movie. The special effects of the backgrounds and the action scenes on the ocean were fantastic. Also the special effects of the characters changing to skeletons and back in the light were pretty amazing. How one person can learn how to do that type of stuff to amuse people or entertain them amazes me personally, I wish I could learn how to do that.

HAGGARD - The movie

The movie Haggard is one of the funniest movies of all time. It features the cast from CKY (the movies) and also has a GREAT soundtrack. If you have seen any CKY or Viva La Bam you will notice that everybody (from those two) are in it. Including Bam's parents and many other people. The story is about Ryan Dunn's girlfriend Glauren (Jennifer Rivall) cheating on him, and him trying to get back at her. He does this by having Valo (Bam) and Falcone (Dicamillo) vandalize her house. There are many different characters with various stories. There is great music on the soundtrack. Bands such as Him & Her, CKY, Gnar Kill, Daniel Lioneye and New Order.

If you do not like Viva La Bam or CKY (the movies) I doubt you will like this. If you DO like that stuff...this movie is for you.

Cast:

Ryan Dunn - Ryan

Jennifer Rivell - Glauren

Brandon DiCamillo - Falcone/Soldier

Bam Margera - Valo

Brandon Novak - Dooly

Jess Margera - Drummer in Gnarkill

Rake Yohn - Hellboy

Tony Hawk – Officer

300 - the movie

The movie 300, directed by Frank Miller, is a movie about the battle of Thermopylae between 300 Spartan soldiers and the Persian Empire in 480 B.C. Originally 300 was a graphic novel written by Frank Miller. The battle of Thermopylae lasted 3 days and all 300 Spartans died. After the battle of Thermopylae the rest of Greece banded together to fight the Persian Empire.

I thought this movie was excellent;
one reason is because it tried to use the actual battle of Thermopylae as a reference and tried to make it a good adaptation of that battle. This movie is for anyone who likes action movies or if you just like history then I think you will enjoy this movie very much.

Gerard Butler as King Leonidas: King of the Spartans
Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo: Leonidas' wife
David Wenham as Dilios: Narrator and Spartan soldier
Dominic West as Theron: A corrupt Spartan politician
Michael Fassbender as Stelios: Young and spirited Spartan soldier
Vincent Regan as Captain Artemis: Leonidas' loyal captain and friend
Rodrigo Santoro as King Xerxes: King of the Persians
Andrew Tiernan as Ephialtes: Deformed Spartan outcast
Andrew Pleavin as Daxos: Arcadian soldier
Tom Wisdom as Astinos: Captain Artemis' eldest son
Giovani Cimmino as Pleistarchos: Leonidas' son
Peter Mensah as Persian messenger
Kelly Craig as Oracle girl
Tyler Neitzel as young Leonidas

"Pride & Prejudice" - with spoiler...

The story happened in England in 1797, the five sisters Bennet were looking for a husband, but the second, Elizabeth said that she would just marry a man she loved.

Jane, the oldest sister fell in love with mister Bingley, a rich man that had moved to a house next to Bennet´s house.
Elizabeth met Mister Darcy, Mr. Bingley´s friend, but he was so snobbish that she didn’t like him. Mr. Bingley went back to London and Jane went to her uncle’s house, while Elizabeth travelled to her friend’s house, Charlotte who had married Bennet´s cousin, Mr. Collins.
In Lady Catherine’s house, a protector of Charlotte’s husband, Elizabeth met Mr. Darcy and his friend, who told her that Mr. Darcy, had convinced Mr. Bingley that he couldn’t marry Jane.

Mr. Darcy asked Elizabeth to marry him, but she refused it because of her sister’s story and because of Mr. Wickham, an officer that she had met and was victim of an injustice by Mr. Darcy in the argument.
Mr. Darcy wrote a letter to Elizabeth telling her the true stories and she started to feel something for him. She met him again while she was traveling with her cousins and when she discovered that her youngest sister had run away with Mr. Wickham, who was a charlatan.

Mr. Darcy went to London, found Elizabeth’s sister and paid for Mr. Wickham to marry her, but Elizabeth didn’t know even what her sister said. Mr. Bingley advised by Mr. Darcy, came back and married Jane.

Mr. Darcy’s aunt, Mrs. Catherine, came to Bennet’s house and threatened Elizabeth to reject another marriage, she banished Catherine and went to her bedroom very offended.
She couldn’t sleep and went to a stroll in the morning. She met Mr. Darcy and he told her that he knew about last night and still wanted to marry her. She accepted it, he talked with her father and they married.

I loved the film, I watched it three times and now I’m reading the book, I really recommend the film.

The Oscars

In this year, The 79th Oscar has given the prize of best film to “The Departed", best director to Martin Scorsese, who directed “The Departed”, this director had lost the prize in the last two years.

The media said that film was very good and the director has done the best job of his life.

The Oscar took place in Los Angeles and many famous people were there to see the event.
This time the Oscar of best actress was given to Helen Mirren of the film ‘The Queen”, the prize of best actor went to Forest Whitaker of the film “The Last King of Scotland”.

But we have to admit, in this year there was too much competition to take the first prize.

Click - with spoiler...

Morty (Christopher Walken) gives architect Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) a universal remote that controls his life. He uses it for his own gain, skipping arguments, muting annoying barking dogs, punching his boss, and so forth.

Eventually Michael, impatient to get his promotion, tells the remote to fast-forward him to when he gets it - which, it turns out, is in a year. The remote programs itself and fast-forwards past anything Michael has skipped before - showering, sex with his wife, hugging his kids, more promotions, etc. etc.

Eventually his whole life has passed him by - he is successful but alone. He has missed his father's death, caused by Morty, who reveals that he is the Angel of Death (!). His wife, Donna (Kate Beckinsale) has left him for their son's old swimming coach, Billy (Sean Astin.) His daughter, Samantha, is a gorgeous blonde, and his son Ben is also a successful architect. He has a heart attack at Ben's wedding and is visited in the futuristic hospital by Ben and Samantha. Ben reveals that he has cancelled his honeymoon because he has too much work to do, which horrifies Michael because it reminds him of himself. Ben and Samantha are eventually asked to leave by a male nurse.

Michael runs out after them but unplugs himself from the machine keeping him alive, so he collapses in the street as his family gets into a taxi. Ben spots him right before they leave and runs to his aid; Samantha, Donna and Billy soon follow. As Michael dies in the street, he tells a sobbing Ben what he has learned: "Family comes first." He then passes on, but we are quickly taken back to...

...Bed Bath and Beyond, where Michael had met Morty in the first place. He's been asleep in one of the display beds. It was all a dream. Elated, he drives back to his home and hugs his kids and wife, appreciating them like he never has before. When the kids are in bed and Donna is upstairs waiting to make love with Michael - which he's excited he will be able to experience again! - he sees the remote on the table, with a card from Morty saying that he "knows he [Michael] will use it correctly this time." Michael picks up the remote and throws it in the garbage, does a typical Sandler-fied dance, and runs upstairs.
